Sonic Runs Away With This Weekend’s Box Office; Best Grossing Video Game Adaptation Ever
Paramount is loving the Blue Speedster as Sonic gives it its best showing after a string of less successful films. The film is currently outperforming expectations, which sat at $40-50M going into the weekend. It is also surpassed $100M globally.
In second is the newly titled at the theaters Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey and, in a dogfight with The Photograph, it appears that Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island horror remake will take the third spot.
