‘Star Wars’ Actor Joonas Suotamo Names Daughter After His Character, Chewbacca
Joonas Suotamo introduced to the Star Wars Universe via Twitter his newest addition to his family, Princess Bacca, named after Chewbacca, the character he plays in the Star Wars films.
Suotamo, a former professional basketball player, got his start as Chewbacca standing in for original actor Peter Mayhew in 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” He officially took over the role in the latest trilogy of the franchise in “The Last Jedi” (2017), “Solo: A Star Wars Story” (2018) and Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (2019).
