‘Star Wars’ Tracking To A $175M-Plus U.S. Debut Weekend
Tracking services are currently suggesting $175 million to $200 million domestically for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Disney is being even more cautious in predicting $160 million-plus).
This would place it below The Last Jedi, which debuted with a box office of $220 million.
Fans have been anticipating the finale to the Skywalker saga; however, negative reviews have flooded the internet since the review embargo lifted on Wednesday.
Currently, The Rise of Skywalker is ranked only above The Phantom Menace in terms of its Rotten Tomatoes scoring.
